Sarah McTyre (she/her)
Pastor
Sarah S. McTyre is an ordained Presbyterian minister and served as the Parish Associate for Education at Park Central from 2003-2022. She holds a B.A. in English literature from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina and a Master of Divinity degree with honors work in pastoral care from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. She also did graduate work in Pastoral Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. Her experience includes serving as Co-Pastor with her husband, Andrew, at a united UCC and PCUSA church in Oswego, New York. She has also served churches in Alabama and Georgia. She has published in the Journal of Pastoral Care and Pulpit Digest, has published liturgical resources for the Presbyterian Church (USA), and contributed to the third volume of The Pastor's Bible Study for Abingdon Press.
Justin Vaught (he/him)
Finance Administrator/Bookkeeper
Briana Vaught was born and raised in Mississippi and earned her bachelor's degree in education at the University of Alabama. She also holds a Master of Divinity degree from San Francisco Theological Seminary. Briana manages the church office and the church's outgoing communication and online presence. She is currently in the ordination process to become a PC(USA) Minister of the World and Sacrament. Briana loves living in Syracuse with her husband, toddler, and two cats.
Born and raised in California, Justin Vaught moved to Syracuse after completing bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Alabama in rhetoric and English studies. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Higher Postsecondary Education at Syracuse University, where he oversees student-athlete support staff and programming, manages academic progress and eligibility for several Division I teams, and teaches at the undergraduate and graduate levels. At Park Central, Justin works with the treasurer, staff, boards, and committees to complete accounting tasks, ensure financial record keeping, facilitate budget preparation and compliance, and manage other church business operations.
